Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Attorney with experience in consular processing and waiver applications. This role provides the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload while working closely with a skilled legal team. Duties:

  • Manage a caseload involving consular processing and waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, and K-Visa applications.
  • Prepare clients for consulate interviews and represent them before USCIS.
  • Review and oversee the preparation of immigration applications and supporting documents.
  • Lead and supervise a team of paralegals to ensure efficiency and accuracy in case preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis to determine case strategy and potential benefits.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs and other necessary filings for immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-4 years of experience practicing immigration law.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with consular processing and waiver applications.
  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and case management.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Admission to a State Bar (California preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Familiarity with immigration case management software is a plus.
