Job Overview: A law firm specializing in intellectual property law seeks a Patent Agent with a background in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of patent prosecution experience, particularly in 5G, Wi-Fi, and other wireless technologies, as well as artificial intelligence (AI), processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end.

Duties:

  • Conduct patent prosecution activities, including drafting patent applications, responding to office actions, and communicating with clients.
  • Perform patentability and freedom-to-operate searches and analyses.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop patent strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist in intellectual property litigation matters as needed.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting patents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Experience in patent prosecution within 5G, Wi-Fi, other wireless technologies, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front end.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Registration with the United States Patent Trademark Office ("USPTO") or qualification to register for the USPTO.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
