Job Duties:

  • Handle mergers and acquisitions transactions, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and support on private equity transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for clients.
  • Advise clients on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Coordinate with other legal and business professionals within the firm to deliver comprehensive client services.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and throughout the transaction process.
  • Manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, providing strategic legal guidance and fostering long-term partnerships.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity at a significant law firm.
  • Membership to the IL State Bar.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute complex transactions.
  • Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice and building client relationships.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Illinois State Bar.
