Job Overview:
A prominent law firm, based in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to join its Financial Services practice. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in commercial lending and a strong understanding of syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions. Duties:

  • Provide legal support on commercial lending and financial services transactions, focusing on syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance deals.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to ensure smooth execution of complex legal work.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide sound advice on financial services matters.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of regulatory filings and other legal documents.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Help with the development of new business relationships and contribute to firm marketing efforts.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial lending or financial services transactions, ideally with knowledge of syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • A desire for professional growth and development in a supportive office setting.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred, but not required for applicants with plans to obtain admission.

  • In-depth understanding of financial transactions, particularly in lending and finance.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
