Litigation Associate

A law firm seeks an experienced litigation associate to join its Business Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group in Orlando, FL. This role involves handling complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts, offering opportunities to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong legal writing and advocacy skills, with significant experience in managing all stages of litigation, from discovery to trial preparation.

Duties

• Conduct and manage written and document discovery.
• Research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Handle depositions, including conducting and defending them.
• Prepare witnesses for testimony in various legal proceedings.
• Appear for status conferences and argue motions in state and federal courts.
• Participate in settlement discussions and negotiations.
• Assist with trial preparation and trial-related tasks.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in business litigation.
• Substantial exposure to complex business litigation matters.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and an exceptional work ethic.
• Comfort with direct interaction with partners and clients.
• A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
