A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have experience litigating complex matters in both State and Federal Courts, including antitrust, class action, and other sophisticated issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Litigate complex matters in both State and Federal Courts, including antitrust, class action, and other sophisticated issues.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, brief writing, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft high-quality legal briefs, motions, and other court documents.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement litigation strategies aligned with their business objectives.
  • Represent clients in court, presenting arguments and evidence effectively.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation processes as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of commercial litigation experience.
  • Experience litigating complex matters in both State and Federal Courts.
  • Strong background in antitrust, class action, and other sophisticated legal issues.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent academic credentials and prior litigation experience.
  • Admission to the Washington, DC Bar is required.
  • Admission to the Maryland and/or Virginia Bar is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Washington, DC Bar is mandatory.
  • Admission to the Maryland and/or Virginia Bar is strongly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in conducting legal research and analysis.
  • Strong advocacy and trial skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
