Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of litigation experience, with preference given to those with prior appellate experience. Location:

  • Carmel, Indiana

Duties:

  • Represent clients in litigation matters, including motion practice and courtroom appearances.
  • Assist with appellate cases, if applicable.
  • Research legal issues and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple cases while adhering to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and arguments.
  • Participate in legal proceedings, hearings, and depositions.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of litigation experience.
  • Prior appellate experience is preferred.
  • Licensed to practice law in Indiana.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent persuasive communication and writing skills.
  • Submission of a writing sample will be part of the evaluation process.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Indiana State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage litigation from start to finish.
