Consular Processing Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:

A Las Vegas, Nevada law firm is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consular Processing Immigration Attorney. The ideal candidate will have expertise in handling complex immigration cases, particularly consular processing and waivers. This role involves managing a caseload of CP/Waiver cases, preparing clients for consulate interviews, and representing clients before USCIS. The attorney will also oversee a team of paralegals and ensure that all client expectations are met with high standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of consular processing and waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visa.
• Prepare clients for their consulate interviews, ensuring they are well-informed and confident.
• Represent clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
• Review and oversee the preparation of immigration applications and packets.
• Manage a team of paralegals to ensure productivity goals are met and client expectations are exceeded.
• Provide detailed legal analysis to clients to identify potential case benefits and strategies.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.
• Work collaboratively with fellow associates to strategize and advance legal cases.
• Utilize case management software to track and manage cases effectively.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law, focusing on consular processing and waivers.
• Proven track record of advancing legal cases and managing a diverse caseload.
• Experience with case management software is preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Strong ability to work as part of a team with a collaborative and proactive approach.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Nevada.
• Relevant immigration law certifications or training are a plus.
