A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in Marietta, GA, specializing in estate planning and elder law. Duties:

  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring updated information is accessible for attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
  • Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Assist clients in resolving legal conflicts by offering tailored advice and determining the best legal strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings or other legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case management.
  • Hold client meetings to assess estate planning needs and develop customized strategies.
  • Provide clear explanations of legal plans and processes to clients, ensuring they understand the next steps.
  • Update CRM systems with meeting and case notes.
  • Continuously seek learning opportunities to stay updated on legal issues related to elder law and estate planning.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to meet client needs.
  • Track record of success in handling legal responsibilities with increasing complexity.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must have successfully passed the Georgia State Bar exam.
  • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia.
  • Good standing with the Georgia State Bar Association.

Skills:

  • Exceptional client presentation skills, particularly in estate planning.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple cases efficiently.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with clients, particularly in sensitive elder law matters.
