Duties:

  • Meet with clients to evaluate legal issues and provide clear guidance tailored to their specific circumstances
  • Conduct initial case assessments and develop personalized strategies for handling each matter
  • Explain available legal avenues, potential risks, and outcomes to clients in plain language
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and compassionate service
  • Research legal precedents and analyze applicable statutes and case law
  • Draft and review a variety of legal documents, including wills, trusts, contracts, deeds, pleadings, motions, and business formation paperwork
  • Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings as necessary
  • Review, draft, and analyze contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence
  • Manage discovery requests and responses in applicable cases
  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys and support staff to ensure seamless client service across practice areas

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years practicing law, with exposure to at least one of the following areas: estate planning, probate, real estate, business law, family law (uncontested cases), or criminal defense
  • Strong analytical skills to assess client situations and craft tailored legal solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to translate legal concepts into understandable advice for clients
  • Proactive, client-focused approach to legal service delivery
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive legal team
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and professional conduct
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, and Excel

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active and in-good-standing license to practice law in the State of Texas
