Job Responsibilities:

  • File petitions and manage case initiation procedures.
  • Conduct and engage in discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions.
  • Handle depositions, both taking and defending, effectively.
  • Attend and represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Manage and lead a dedicated staff team, ensuring efficient case progression.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and legal advice.
  • Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and draft settlement agreements.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and legal precedents to ensure effective advocacy.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar.
  • Experience in personal injury litigation.
  • Proven track record of managing personal injury cases from inception to resolution.
  • Strong understanding of Texas personal injury law, including motor vehicle collisions and premises liability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research and use of case management software.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
