A law firm seeks a Transactional Franchise & Distribution Associate Attorney to join its team in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for an attorney with experience in U.S. franchising regulations, capable of drafting franchise-related agreements and managing regulatory compliance. The position offers the chance to work on complex business transactions within the franchise sector, assisting clients on both domestic and international matters.

Duties:

  • Draft and review franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and related regulatory filings.
  • Provide legal guidance on intricate business transactions in the franchise and distribution industries.
  • Counsel domestic and international clients on franchising compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys on transactional and litigation franchise matters.
  • Work with a diverse client base, including emerging franchisors, established franchise corporations, private equity firms, and international businesses entering the U.S. market.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional franchise law.
  • Knowledge of U.S. franchising regulations and compliance.
  • Admission to practice law in California, or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.
