A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Probate Attorney to join its team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in probate and estate planning law, with a commitment to providing exceptional legal services to clients throughout the Texas probate process.

Duties:

  • Probate Representation: Provide comprehensive legal representation for clients navigating the Texas probate and heirship processes, including case intake, application filing, inventory preparation, and securing letters of administration.
  • Contested & Uncontested Matters: Handle both contested and uncontested probate litigation cases.
  • Document Drafting & Review: Prepare and review essential probate documents such as wills, trusts, affidavits, and court filings, ensuring compliance with Texas probate laws and rules.
  • Client Communication: Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear and transparent communication. Provide timely updates on case developments and manage initial consultations effectively.
  • Legal Research & Analysis: Stay informed about current Texas probate laws and trends, conducting thorough research to inform legal strategies and client advice.
  • Court Representation: Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials as necessary to advocate for clients' interests.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the Texas State Bar and eligibility to practice law in Texas.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in probate law, with a proven ability to manage cases from intake to resolution.
  • Strong collaborative spirit, contributing positively to the firm's culture.
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
