A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Associate Attorney with a focus on commercial real estate finance litigation. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience or a strong demonstrated interest in this practice area. This role requires excellent drafting, communication, and supervisory skills, with the ability to work independently and oversee teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee teams and lead various projects, including litigation document management, filings, and other legal projects.
  • Draft complex motions and related processes, including preparing ancillary filings and ensuring compliance with all applicable rules and procedures.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including conducting legal research, drafting trial briefs, and managing discovery processes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide legal advice and support on commercial real estate finance litigation matters.
  • Attend court hearings and depositions as required.

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Maryland (Bar admission in other relevant states a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance litigation or related transactions.
  • Strong desire and commitment to practice in commercial real estate finance litigation.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bankruptcy litigation experience helpful and desirable.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in Maryland required; admission in other relevant jurisdictions preferred.
