Duties

  • Handle a wide range of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, and property division matters.
  • Represent clients in court, making in-court appearances as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Provide clients with timely legal advice and case updates.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, fellow attorneys, and staff to efficiently manage cases.
  • Attend mediation and settlement conferences to negotiate favorable outcomes.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients to build trust and ensure support.
  • Stay informed about legal developments in family law to offer the best client representation.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in family law.
  • Active admission to the Washington State Bar and in good standing.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with writing samples required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple priorities.
  • Client-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Strong references attesting to expertise and professionalism.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar (required).
