Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. This role is ideal for an attorney with 2-4 years of experience, particularly in professional liability, medical malpractice, and general liability. The successful candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, strong research and writing skills and be admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. Admittance, or eligibility to waive into New Jersey, is also preferable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in healthcare litigation matters, including professional liability, medical malpractice, and general liability cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex healthcare issues.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on healthcare-related matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and other staff on case strategies and developments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and ethical practices in all casework.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in healthcare litigation, specifically in professional liability, medical malpractice, and general liability.
  • Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania.
  • Admittance, or eligibility to waive into New Jersey, is preferable.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar.
  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar, or eligibility to waive into New Jersey, is highly desirable.
