A law firm seeks an experienced Immigration Attorney to join their team in Coral Gables, FL. This firm offers a boutique, high-quality legal practice, emphasizing client satisfaction and a strong commitment to ethical standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in immigration law, with a particular focus on employment-based immigration, family-based petitions, and removal proceedings. Fluency in Spanish is required due to frequent client interactions.

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in various immigration matters, including employment-based cases, family-based petitions, work permits, and asylum cases.
  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before USCIS, EOIR, and in court hearings.
  • Manage case preparation, including conducting AOS (Adjustment of Status) interviews and filing necessary petitions.
  • Guide clients through the process of PERM applications and related employment-based immigration procedures.
  • Draft and file petitions and applications with USCIS, including family-based petitions and employment visas.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant immigration laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, case records, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to deliver comprehensive immigration services.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active state bar membership in good standing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in immigration law, with specific experience in employment-based immigration, family-based petitions, removal proceedings, and asylum cases.
  • Strong understanding of USCIS procedures, EOIR hearings, and work permit applications.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a client-centered environment.
  • Dedication to achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Bar license in any U.S. state in good standing.
