A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Attorney to join its growing practice in Houston, Texas. This position focuses on insurance coverage, construction, and civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in the legal field and be prepared to lead cases from inception to resolution. Duties:

  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of insurance coverage, construction, and civil litigation matters from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Client Advocacy: Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and trials, ensuring aggressive and intelligent advocacy to achieve optimal results.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Provide guidance and mentorship to paralegals and legal assistants while working collaboratively with the legal team.
  • Legal Writing & Research: Draft high-quality legal documents including motions, briefs, and discovery responses, ensuring all filings are well-researched and articulated.
  • Courtroom Representation: Effectively represent clients in court, presenting cases with strong oral advocacy skills.
  • Innovation & Efficiency: Actively participate in firm initiatives to improve workflows, advocate for innovative approaches, and contribute to the firm’s growth.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain direct communication with clients, providing updates on case status and strategy while ensuring top-notch customer service.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in insurance coverage (construction) and civil litigation.
  • Licensure: Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • Self-motivated: Ability to work independently, managing cases with minimal supervision.
  • Work Ethic: Strong commitment to achieving excellent outcomes for clients, with a high degree of professionalism and dedication.
  • Leadership: Comfortable taking on leadership roles and collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including courtroom experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
