Mid-level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid-level Intellectual Property Associate to join its Intellectual Property practice group. The role requires 3-5 years of substantive patent litigation experience, ideally with a background in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering. Location:

Duties:

• Handle patent litigation matters, including cases involving high-tech, healthcare, and mechanical innovations.
• Provide strategic counsel on intellectual property development, acquisition, and protection.
• Assist clients in the monetization and management of their intellectual property assets.
• Represent clients in PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) proceedings.
• Collaborate with attorneys, patent agents, and technical professionals on complex patent issues.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of substantive patent litigation experience.
• Strong experience with electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering subject matter is preferred.
• PTAB experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with clients across a variety of industries, including technology, healthcare, and engineering.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in relevant jurisdiction, or ability to be admitted.

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering, or relevant industry experience.
• Excellent research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage complex cases and collaborate with technical professionals and inventors.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
