Labor and Employment Attorney

Duties:

• Client Advising: Provide expert legal advice on a range of employment issues including hiring, terminations, workplace policies, and employee relations.
• Employment Litigation: Handle all aspects of employment-related litigation, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour disputes.
• Legal Research and Compliance: Stay current on state and federal employment laws, regulations, and best practices; conduct legal research to ensure compliance.
• OSHA Regulations: Advise clients on OSHA compliance and handle OSHA-related legal issues if applicable.
• Document Drafting: Draft and review employment contracts, workplace policies, employee handbooks, and other relevant legal documents.
• Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to clients on legal compliance, employee management, and best practices.
• Negotiations: Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes involving employment law issues.
• Court Appearances: Represent clients in court and before administrative agencies regarding employment matters.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong background in employment litigation and client advising.
• Academic Record: Good academic record from an ABA-accredited law school.
• OSHA Experience: Experience with OSHA regulations is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and the capability to handle complex legal issues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.): Degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Bar Admission: Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Ohio.
