A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to engage in motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, and potentially jury trials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for the law, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a legal team.

Duties:

  • Engage in motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions in court.
  • Propound and respond to written discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on litigation matters.
  • Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive legal team.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with motion practice, discovery, and court appearances preferred but not required for recent graduates.
