Location:

Duties:

  • Assess new workers' compensation cases and establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
  • Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
  • Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
  • Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial when necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in Workers' Compensation law.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; willingness to learn new systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with a diverse clientele and team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) or better.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in North Carolina.
