Job Overview: A well-established law firm based in Fulton, MD, is seeking an experienced Healthcare Regulatory Attorney to provide regulatory guidance to a diverse range of healthcare clients. This attorney will play a pivotal role in advising healthcare providers and specialty practices, ensuring compliance with both federal and state healthcare laws. The ideal candidate will be responsible for addressing complex regulatory issues and managing healthcare transactions, compliance audits, and investigations.

Duties:

  • Offer comprehensive regulatory counsel to healthcare providers and specialty practices.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare laws, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other related regulations.
  • Advise clients on risk management and regulatory matters.
  • Work closely with other attorneys on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Manage healthcare-related transactions, compliance audits, and investigations.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory law.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Experience advising healthcare providers and specialty practices on regulatory matters.
  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and state healthcare agencies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with legal teams on complex, multidisciplinary matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active and in good standing with MD State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in good standing in MD.
