A law firm seeks a seasoned and accomplished Senior Litigation Attorney to lead commercial litigation matters and oversee litigation teams in its Corpus Christi, TX office. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the litigation process while providing strategic counsel to clients. Duties

  • Serve as the lead attorney on complex commercial litigation cases.
  • Supervise and manage litigation teams to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Oversee the full legal process, from investigation and discovery through trial preparation and final hearings.
  • Conduct depositions, argue motions, and attend hearings, mediations, trials, and arbitrations.
  • Develop and execute effective legal strategies based on case findings and applicable laws.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements.
  • Negotiate settlements and advise clients on potential outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed case reports and summaries for client updates.
  • Track and submit accurate billable hours.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance team performance and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle complex litigation matters with minimal supervision.
  • First-chair trial or final hearing experience in multiple trials or arbitrations.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar (required).

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
