IP Litigation Associate

Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate specializing in Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, representing clients in complex patent litigation cases.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Represent clients in patent litigation cases across various industries

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and memoranda

• Assist in developing litigation strategies and case management

• Prepare for and participate in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions

• Collaborate with clients, experts, and legal teams to ensure effective representation

• Manage discovery processes, including document review and production

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of patent litigation experience

• Strong understanding of IP law, with a focus on patent disputes

• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills

• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Admission to a state bar with good standing

Certifications:

• Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is a plus

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and writing

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines

• Familiarity with patent litigation tools and software

Additional Information:

• Undergraduate and/or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, chemistry, biology, physics, or a related field preferred
