Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal advice on estate planning, trust administration, and related matters. The role requires working closely with clients to develop strategies for managing their assets and ensuring their estate plans meet both personal and legal objectives.

Location:

  • Richmond, VA

Duties:

  • Counsel clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Assist with trust administration, probate proceedings, and estate litigation.
  • Review and draft legal documents such as wills, trust agreements, and advance directives.
  • Conduct legal research and stay current on laws and regulations related to trusts and estates.
  • Represent clients in court and other legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to help clients achieve their estate planning goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Trusts & Estates law.
  • Active license to practice law in Virginia.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, and tax laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Virginia.

Skills:

  • Expertise in estate planning, trust administration, and tax laws.
  • Strong legal drafting and research skills.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to represent clients in court and other legal proceedings as required.
