Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and trials
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Develop and implement legal strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation or arbitration proceedings
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina
• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience
• Relevant experience in insurance defense
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards

Preferred Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on insurance defense

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) or better from an accredited law school
