A law firm seeks a Real Estate Attorney with three or more years of experience to join its team in Cleveland, OH. The role involves representing commercial real estate owners in matters related to the development, purchase, sale, and financing of office buildings, medical offices, biotech labs, and market-rate or affordable apartment properties. The attorney will also handle commercial loan transactions for lenders and represent landlords and tenants in leasing matters. Additionally, the position includes negotiating joint venture agreements and preparing equity syndication documents. This is an opportunity to manage complex real estate transactions and collaborate with legal teams on projects nationwide.

Duties:

  • Represent owners in real estate transactions, including development, purchase, sale, and financing of commercial properties.
  • Work with lenders on commercial loan transactions, ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations.
  • Handle leasing matters for landlords and tenants, drafting and negotiating lease agreements.
  • Negotiate joint venture agreements and prepare related equity syndication documents.
  • Manage and supervise complex real estate transactions from start to completion.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and motions.
  • Collaborate with legal teams on transactions across various markets in the U.S.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in high-level commercial real estate law.
  • Proven ability to manage complex real estate transactions and client portfolios.
  • Excellent research, writing, and drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, particularly in negotiating agreements.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Ohio.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in commercial real estate law, leasing, and financing transactions.
  • Strong negotiation skills for handling joint ventures, leases, and real estate agreements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
