A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation and/or family law experience to join its team in Temecula, CA. Duties

  • Draft high-quality legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and Memorandum of Points and Authorities.
  • Handle family law cases such as child custody, domestic violence restraining orders, and other related matters.
  • Perform legal research and provide legal analysis to support case strategy and client goals.
  • Develop legal strategies tailored to the client’s needs and present them to clients and the legal team.
  • Collaborate with managing attorneys and associates to ensure a cohesive approach to case management.
  • Oversee discovery processes and manage legal pleadings efficiently.
  • Communicate with clients regularly, providing updates and helping them navigate the legal process.
  • Negotiate cases and represent clients in court, advocating for favorable outcomes.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to team members, promoting efficiency and a team-oriented approach.
  • Contribute to refining the firm’s internal systems, including policies, templates, workflows, and procedures.
  • Analyze statistical data to identify opportunities for improving client service and case management efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation and/or family law.
  • Proficiency in legal writing, including the ability to draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Strong knowledge of family law and civil litigation processes, including court rules and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently while being a team player in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to litigate cases in court and negotiate settlements effectively.
  • Familiarity with developing and refining firm systems and improving service delivery.
  • An attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation experience and passionate about family law and helping families during a difficult time in their lives will be given proper training.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California Bar license in good standing.
