A law firm seeks an experienced Healthcare Transactional Associate to join its dynamic team in Los Angeles. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex healthcare transactions, particularly focusing on private equity deals, within one of the nation’s most respected and highly-ranked healthcare practices. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment, contributing to both client service and the firm’s strategic direction across a broad range of healthcare sectors.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal support in healthcare-related transactional matters, with a strong emphasis on private equity transactions
  • Advise clients from various sectors, including academic medical centers, ambulatory surgery centers, long-term care facilities, hospitals, and more
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients, assisting in the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of complex deals
  • Draft and review contracts, regulatory filings, and other legal documents related to healthcare transactions
  • Collaborate across practice areas to deliver innovative and business-focused solutions to clients
  • Stay current on healthcare industry trends and regulations to provide relevant and timely counsel
  • Cultivate and maintain client relationships through effective communication and tailored legal advice

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in healthcare transactional law, preferably from a top-tier law firm setting
  • Strong interest in healthcare private equity transactions, with the ability to handle related legal matters
  • Experience in additional healthcare-related areas is a plus
  • Excellent academic credentials with a focus on law and healthcare-related coursework
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to draft clear and concise legal documents
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients, business teams, and colleagues
  • Must be admitted to the California Bar

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Strong academic background, particularly in healthcare or corporate law

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar
