Job Description

Duties:

  • Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate leases, purchase agreements, and other documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including title reviews, surveys, and zoning reports.
  • Assist in sale-leasebacks and related real estate financial transactions.
  • Provide counsel on real estate financing, including securing loans and managing lender requirements.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure comprehensive legal support.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of real estate laws and regulations.
  • Participate in business development and client relationship management activities.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial transactional real estate law.
  • Proven track record in handling leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and sale-leasebacks.
  • Extensive experience in real estate due diligence, including title review.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in good standing with the Connecticut State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Connecticut.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and actual estate-specific legal software.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate financing and lending practices.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
