Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is currently seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney for their California-based team. This role is ideal for candidates with a proven track record in employment law, litigation experience, and the ability to manage a diverse range of client needs in a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on California labor and employment law matters.
• Defend clients in employment litigation, including class action and PAGA cases.
• Manage written discovery, conduct depositions, and prepare for hearings and trials.
• Advise clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws.
• Foster strong client relationships while maintaining excellent service for existing clients.
• Negotiate settlements and draft legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings and trial preparation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-6 years of experience in Labor and Employment Law.
• Litigation experience, especially in defense-side employment cases.
• Expertise in managing employment law disputes and class action/PAGA cases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Proven ability to maintain excellent client relationships.
• Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California, in good standing.

Skills:

• Strong research, negotiation, and writing abilities.
• Proficiency in handling depositions and trial preparation.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
