Attorney needed for Wilmington office

Job Overview: A law firm based in Wilmington, DE, is seeking an Attorney with solid experience in real estate finance law. The ideal candidate will have high academic achievement, substantial large law firm experience, and exceptional writing and communication skills.

Job Duties:

• Manage real estate finance transactions from inception through closing and post-closing, including secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.
• Handle loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
• Provide asset management and workout experience as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with lenders and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of legal documents as necessary.

Requirements:

• JD required.
• 5+ years of broad real estate finance experience.
• Solid experience practicing real estate finance law in a large law firm setting.
• Experience running transactions on behalf of lenders.
• Familiarity with secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
