A law firm in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, including an LLM (preferred), and possess excellent problem-solving skills and client relations abilities. This role involves handling complex tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and international transactions, while managing multiple concurrent matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on tax implications and strategies related to mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and international transactions.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to provide sound legal advice on tax matters.
  • Draft and review tax-related legal documents, including opinions, memoranda, and agreements.
  • Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to develop effective tax strategies and solutions.
  • Manage multiple ongoing matters simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and developments to provide up-to-date legal advice.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and discussions with tax authorities and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from a nationally recognized law school.
  • 3-5 years of experience in tax law, with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and international transactions.
  • LLM degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle several concurrent matters with a high level of initiative and motivation.
  • Strong client relations skills and the ability to manage complex and sensitive matters effectively.
