Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished academic background and substantial experience in real estate finance law, particularly from a large law firm. This role requires exceptional writing and communication skills and extensive experience with large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity. The successful candidate will manage transactions from inception through closing and post-closing, including secondary market repurchase facilities and exit strategies.

Duties:

• Represent lenders in large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
• Manage all phases of transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.
• Oversee and execute secondary market repurchase facilities and develop effective exit strategies.
• Handle asset management and workout scenarios as required.
• Draft, negotiate, and review complex transaction documents and related agreements.
• Provide strategic legal advice based on thorough research and analysis of real estate finance issues.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient transaction processes.
• Prepare detailed reports, correspondence, and presentations for internal and external use.
• Stay informed about legal developments and market trends affecting real estate finance.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 3+ years of broad experience in real estate finance law, ideally from a large law firm.
• Demonstrated experience in loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Proven ability to manage transactions from inception through closing, including post-closing activities.
• Experience with secondary market repurchase facilities and exit strategies is highly desirable.
• Asset management and workout experience is preferred.
• High level of academic achievement and extensive large law firm experience.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in Florida or willingness to obtain.
