The ideal candidate will possess robust experience in drafting and negotiating joint venture agreements and real estate financing documents.

Duties

  • Represent institutional equity investors and developers in joint ventures related to multifamily, industrial, cold storage, and other commercial real estate assets.
  • Take the lead in drafting and negotiating joint venture agreements for real estate acquisitions and developments.
  • Represent institutional borrowers in various real estate financings, including construction loans, CMBS, and structured finance transactions.
  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of loan agreements for complex financing structures, including mezzanine financing and other capital stack components.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of real estate legal experience, with a focus on real estate finance and joint ventures.
  • Proven experience in handling real estate transactions involving institutional equity investors and structured financing.
  • Ability to take a leadership role in drafting and negotiation.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar.
