Job Title: Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm with locations in Texas is currently seeking a skilled and bilingual Immigration Attorney to join its legal team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated legal professional with experience in immigration law who is passionate about helping individuals navigate the complexities of immigration procedures. The role will involve providing legal representation, offering advice, and preparing applications for clients seeking relief under immigration laws.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in immigration-related cases, including removal proceedings before the Immigration Court.
  • Provide legal counsel on eligibility for immigration relief and prepare necessary applications for filing with USCIS and Immigration Court.
  • Meet with clients and assist with a wide range of immigration matters, including bond hearings, removal defense, and business immigration visas.
  • Appear before government agencies on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with the legal team on case management and other related tasks.
  • Occasionally travel to detention centers to meet with clients when required.
  • Assist with other areas of law as needed by the firm.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in immigration law.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active and valid Bar license in good standing from any U.S. state (TX, VA, or MD Bar is highly preferred).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of immigration law, including immigration court procedures, removal defense, and business immigration visas (e.g., L, H, B, E visas, I-140s, PERMs).
  • Professional, positive, and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings if necessary.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar License in any U.S. state (preferably TX, VA, or MD).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of immigration laws and procedures.
  • Proficiency in bilingual communication (English and Spanish).
