A law firm seeks a highly skilled Patent Attorney with expertise in chemistry to join its intellectual property team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong academic background, professional experience in patent prosecution and counseling, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related discipline. Duties

• Prepare, file, and prosecute domestic and international patent applications.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in patent prosecution and intellectual property counseling, specifically in the chemical or pharmaceutical domains.
• Proven expertise in handling complex technical subject matter and translating it into comprehensive legal strategies.
• Strong organizational abilities with a detail-oriented approach to managing multiple cases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and legal concepts clearly.

Education

• A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field is required.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic performance.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
• Registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.
