A law firm seeks a highly experienced Intellectual Property (Patent) Transactions Attorney to handle sophisticated IP transactions, including patent acquisitions, licensing agreements, and patent litigation funding. Duties

  • Advise clients on intellectual property transactions, including patent acquisitions, licensing, and monetization strategies.

  • Structure and negotiate agreements for patent litigation funding and other IP-related financial arrangements.

  • Provide strategic guidance on corporate structuring related to IP assets.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate high-value IP transactions.

  • Conduct legal due diligence and draft transaction-related documents.

  • Stay current with evolving intellectual property laws and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in intellectual property transactions, with a strong focus on patents.

  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations and structure sophisticated IP deals.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent legal degree.

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred.

Certifications

  • Relevant certifications in intellectual property law or licensing are a plus.
