A prominent law firm in Chicago is seeking an experienced Bilingual Personal Injury Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. This position is integral to managing a variety of personal injury cases, ensuring high-quality representation for clients, and pursuing favorable outcomes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cases from intake through trial or settlement, as well as collaborating with legal professionals to strategize and manage caseloads.

Duties

  • Oversee all stages of personal injury cases from intake to trial or settlement.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations to assess liability and damages.
  • Draft and file essential legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
  • Provide excellent client communication, keeping them informed of case progress.

Requirements

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Active attorney license in good standing to practice law in the state of Illinois.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a plaintiff's personal injury attorney.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury law, state laws, and regulations.
  • Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Proven track record of successful case management and favorable client outcomes.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering legal advice, briefs, and strategies.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys.
  • High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or the ability to become admitted.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar is required.
