A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience in general litigation to join their Miami office. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in managing a wide array of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, torts, and complex civil litigation. Duties:

  • Manage all phases of litigation cases, from initiation through to resolution, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and handling discovery.
  • Prepare for and attend court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to devise case strategies and provide clients with strategic legal counsel.
  • Conduct client interviews, gather facts, and assist with witness preparation for depositions and trials.
  • Draft and argue motions, manage trial preparation, and ensure timely progression of cases.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, keeping them updated on case developments and providing clear legal advice.
  • Assist with business development efforts, fostering relationships with clients, and contributing to networking initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
  • 3-5 years of general litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • A proactive approach to managing cases and a dedication to delivering high-quality legal services.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Florida Bar membership (required).
