Attorney needed for White Plains office

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney with 5-10 years of experience to manage a caseload in personal injury matters. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing files, drafting motions, conducting depositions, and potentially preparing Surrogates Court and ICO settlement petitions. While trial experience is a plus, it is not a requirement. This is a full-time in-person role located in White Plains, NY.

Location:

Duties:

• Manage personal injury case files from start to finish.
• Draft motions, legal documents, and court filings.
• Conduct depositions and client meetings.
• Prepare Surrogates Court and ICO settlement petitions (a plus).
• Represent clients in negotiations and hearings as needed.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and manage deadlines.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• 5-10 years of experience handling personal injury cases (plaintiff or defendant).
• Experience in managing case files, drafting motions, and conducting depositions.
• Experience with Surrogates Court and ICO settlement petitions is a plus.
• Trial experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York.

Skills:

• Excellent writing and drafting skills.
• Strong deposition and trial preparation skills.
• Familiarity with Surrogates Court and ICO settlement petitions (a plus).
