Job Duties:

• Manage a caseload of criminal defense matters, ensuring thorough and effective representation.
• Advise clients on their legal rights and potential strategies for their defense.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Attend pretrial hearings and court appearances on behalf of clients.
• Conduct legal research and analyze case law to assess potential case outcomes.
• Interview witnesses and gather evidence to support client cases.
• Provide strategic legal analysis to clients regarding potential case benefits.
• Prepare clients for depositions and trial appearances, outlining case strategies and objectives.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and legal support staff on case management and strategy.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California (active and in good standing).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing criminal defense law.
• Proven track record handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Strong courtroom presence and excellent litigation skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
• Team player with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred.
