A reputable law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its busy civil litigation defense practice in Purchase, NY. Duties

  • Manage an independent caseload under partner supervision

  • Draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and other legal documents

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

  • Represent clients at court hearings, conferences, and depositions

  • Attend inspections, mediations, and consultations with expert witnesses

  • Prepare for and participate in trial proceedings

  • Maintain communication with clients and ensure deadlines are met

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of litigation experience in any of the following practice areas:

    • Bodily injury

    • Premises liability

    • Automobile liability

    • Product defect

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced caseload independently and efficiently

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the State of New York or certified for admission

  • In good standing with the applicable state bar
