Associate Attorney for Brookfield office

A law firm seeks a full-time, remote Associate Attorney to join its Brookfield office. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while focusing on collection litigation and the enforcement of creditors' rights in several states. The role is ideal for attorneys who are licensed in Michigan and are looking to grow their practice in this specialized field.

Duties:

• Handle collection litigation and creditor enforcement actions for clients in various jurisdictions.
• Manage all aspects of creditors' rights cases, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and managing case files.
• Represent clients in court and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with other team members and provide strategic legal counsel to clients.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws regarding creditors' rights.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Michigan (additional licenses in Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, or Tennessee are a plus).
• Experience in collection litigation, or a related field.
• Strong litigation and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and handle a high volume of cases.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in Michigan (other state admissions are advantageous).

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in using legal technology for remote work, case management, and client communication.
