Job Overview:

Duties:

• Structure, negotiate, and document a wide range of commercial lending transactions.
• Assist with real estate financing, acquisitions, and dispositions.
• Conduct due diligence and prepare related transaction documents.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on financing matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to support clients’ business objectives.
• Manage multiple client matters efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial transactions, with an emphasis on finance.
• Strong understanding of commercial lending, real estate finance, and secured transactions.
• Ability to manage complex transactions from inception to completion.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Michigan State Bar or eligibility for admission.
