A law firm seeks an experienced real estate associate attorney to join its growing team in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and lending. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, providing comprehensive legal services to a diverse client base while contributing to the firm's success in the commercial real estate sector.

Duties:

  • Manage and advise on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing matters.
  • Represent clients in real estate lending transactions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Draft and negotiate real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, leases, and loan documentation.
  • Conduct due diligence, including reviewing title reports, surveys, and other transactional documents.
  • Work closely with clients to provide strategic advice and solutions for complex real estate deals.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to ensure timely and successful transaction closings.
  • Provide legal counsel on real estate matters, including zoning, land use, and financing structures.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and lending.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Kentucky, in good standing.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex real estate contracts.
  • Strong understanding of real estate financing and transaction structuring.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
