A law firm in New York City is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate should have experience in multiple types of transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, title and survey review, leasing, and financing. Candidates with experience in some but not all of these areas are encouraged to apply. High academic achievement, excellent writing skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in learning are essential. The candidate must be admitted to practice and be in good standing in New York.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of documents related to acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate properties.
  • Conduct title and survey reviews, identifying and resolving issues related to property ownership and use.
  • Handle leasing transactions, including drafting and negotiating lease agreements for both landlords and tenants.
  • Support financing transactions, including preparing and reviewing loan documents and coordinating closings.
  • Perform due diligence on real estate transactions, including reviewing contracts, property records, and financial documents.
  • Advise clients on real estate matters, providing strategic and legal guidance to support their business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients.
  • Stay informed about developments in real estate law and industry trends to provide up-to-date advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience in acquisitions and dispositions, title and survey review, leasing, and financing preferred.
  • High level of academic achievement.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in legal document preparation and review.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
