A distinguished law firm in Los Angeles is actively seeking a seasoned Corporate Partner with extensive expertise in healthcare mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The ideal candidate will possess a well-established portfolio of clients and a strong track record of handling complex transactions within the healthcare sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-value healthcare mergers, acquisitions, and related transactions, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to healthcare clients, including hospitals, clinics, and healthcare systems, regarding M&A activities, joint ventures, and consolidations.
  • Oversee and manage the drafting, negotiation, and execution of contracts, agreements, and transaction documentation related to mergers, acquisitions, and asset transfers.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance, antitrust concerns, due diligence, and healthcare industry-specific legal issues in M&A transactions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare clients, maintaining strong, long-term relationships and offering tailored legal strategies to meet their business objectives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including tax, regulatory, and litigation specialists, to ensure comprehensive solutions are delivered to healthcare clients.
  • Engage in business development efforts to expand the firm's healthcare M&A practice, leveraging industry contacts and business networks.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys, fostering their professional development and ensuring the team’s collective success in M&A projects.
  • Stay current with evolving healthcare laws, regulations, and market trends to provide clients with informed, strategic guidance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing complex M&A transactions, specifically within the healthcare industry.
  • An established book of business, with significant client relationships in the healthcare field.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or partnership role within a law firm is highly preferred.

Educational Background:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active, in-good-standing membership with the California State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Additional certifications in healthcare law, corporate finance, or M&A transactions are beneficial but not required.
  • Regular participation in Continuing Legal Education (CLE) focused on healthcare law, M&A, and corporate transactions is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, including antitrust, privacy, and compliance requirements as they pertain to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract drafting skills, with an ability to manage complex legal documentation and transactions.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, particularly in the healthcare sector, and to act as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with a focus on developing and managing a high-performing legal team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain intricate legal matters clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Business acumen, with a focus on driving growth and expanding the firm’s presence within the healthcare M&A space.
