Duties:

• Represent insurers in high-stakes, complex coverage and reinsurance matters
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other legal documents
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including managing discovery motions
• Conduct depositions and represent clients in court appearances
• Independently manage case files from inception to resolution
• Assist with business development and client management
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and support staff
• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, particularly in insurance disputes

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation
• Strong understanding of professional liability, general liability, and D&O insurance policies
• Extensive experience with drafting legal documents, motions, and discovery
• Proven ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
• Experience handling depositions, court appearances, and client-facing responsibilities
• Ability to thrive in both independent and team-based environments
• Strong communication and legal research skills

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of California
